"At least John Gotti knew who he was," said my friend, Don, as he described his absolute disdain for American Politics. "It's a shame," he continued, "that money, power and ego eventually corrupt those with the best of intentions."
Don can speak hours on this topic... and, I guess, I'm inclined to agree with him.
But I'm glued to the television, web, radio and newspaper. I find myself following every step of the process.. not because I'm politically inclined... but because this is the absolute Super Bowl of the biggest "winner-take-all" marketing and packaging showdown on the planet.
Imagine Pepsi and Coke in the same scenario. Imagine your business in the same scenario. If you win, everyone else goes away. If you lose, you're history!
No wonder it gets so nasty. And, believe me, the nastiness is just beginning.
But for all you fitness entrepreneurs this marketing strategic exercise is at least worth observing from a marketing point of view.
I, for one, am paying full attention.
